WHEN: Wednesday, September 6th, and Friday, September 8th, 2023, during normal league play days and times. If necessary, playoff rounds and/or rainouts will be played Wednesday, September 13th, and/or Friday, September 15th, 2023.
FORMAT: MSG9 2023 Social Cup is a Team Averaged Event.
- Teams Consist of Four Players Each
- Each Team Will Be Issued a TEAM HCP Based on the Averaged GHIN HCP of Those Four Players (Handicaps are adjusted for 9-Hole Play)
Example — 6 + 9 + 13 + 12 = 40 /4 = 10 Stroke Team HCP - Following each 9-hole round, a Team Averaged Score will be posted.
Example — 45 + 47 + 52 + 56 = 200 /4 = 50 Gross Team Score - The Team Averaged HCP (10) will be Subtracted from the Team Averaged Gross Score (50) to Determine a 9-hole Team Net Score (40) for each round.
- The Best 18-hole Team Net Score Will Be the Social Cup Winner.
RULES: Every Social Cup Player will be issued a scorecard for the day’s round which must be attested and submitted immediately following play. All standard MSG9 Rules apply. See www.msg9.net for details.
- All Participants Must Play nine holes at Monticello and nine holes at Tara to Enter One Complete 18-hole Score.
- All Social Cup Players Must Putt Out (Up to standard MSG9 +3)
- ‘18-holers’ May Only Submit the First 9-hole Round of the Day.
- To maintain MSG9 Standard League Schedules for all League Members, Social Cup Team Members May or May Not Be Scheduled to Play Together.
- Team Members Are Not Allowed to Keep Another Team Member’s Score.
TEAMS: All MSG9 League Players are eligible for this event. Players are encouraged to create their own teams. In the event that some teams may be incomplete (four-player teams), additional players may be assigned. Players who wish to sign up as individuals will be organized into random teams.
REGISTRATION: $5 per entrant or $20 per Team Cash or Check to MSG9. A Team Registration Form is Required. Submit by or before Friday, September 1st, 2023.
AWARDS: The Tournament Committee will present the winning trophies at the MSG9 Picnic at the Pavillion on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023.

The MSG9 Social Cup is a TEAM EVENT consisting of Four Players Per Team. Incomplete teams will be assigned additional players as necessary. Players may choose to register below as individuals.
