MSG9 Men’s Social Golf 9-Hole League began in 1997 as a small group of social golfers who agreed to play under a set of modified USGA rules to emphasize a reasonable pace of play. MSG9 has been sanctioned by the Board of Directors and has grown into a full membership of over 170.
We offer play sessions for both morning and afternoon golf on Wednesdays at Monticello and Fridays at Tara. We use Golf Genius to structure play and PDCs (Play Day Coordinators) to organize pairings and establish the order of play.
CORE VALUES:
- We encourage play within standards set forth & provided by the USGA modified to fit our description of “relaxed” play.
- We allow members to play & compete at their own individual playing ability.
- We maintain a relaxed environment that focuses on the “social” aspect of league play and member interactions.
- We seek improvement, encourage discussion & foster fellowship for the benefit of our membership & league.
- We act in the best interest of our membership while being conscious of the impact our actions and decisions have on our members, employees of Savannah Lake Village & residents of our community.
