Green Jacket Tournament 2025
The Green Jacket Tournament is the annual MSG9 Champions Tournament. This tournament is strategically scheduled in late April, following “The Master’s Tournament” in Augusta.
MSG9 plays four (4) consecutive nine (9) hole rounds. Two at Tara Club and two at Monticello. The best two (2) net scores per player account for their final 18-hole score. The winner is awarded the Green Jacket during an annual dinner presentation.
An established GHIN HCP plus six (6) MSG9 league rounds are required to participate in the tournament.

Registration Dates:
2025 Green Jacket Registration Ends April 10th.
Registration forms are available from MSG9 PDCs or in the MSG9 Drawer at Tara and Monticello Pro Shops.
MSG9 Social Cup 2025
The 2025 MSG9 Social Cup is a Four-Man Team Event.
Each Team is assigned a Team HCP based on the average GHIN HCP of those four players. Each player will submit a 9-hole Gross Score for Monticello and also for Tara. At the end of each round, team members’ scores will be averaged to create one 9-hole Team Net-Score. The lowest 18-hole Team Net-Score over the two rounds is the winner.

Thursday Scrambles!
Summer Scramble – Thursday, June 12th @ 11 AM – Course to be determined.
Winter Scramble – Thursday, November 13th @ 11 AM – Course to be determined.
These events will be followed with Beer and Hotdogs courtesy of MSG9.
The format will be a “Stand Aside” scramble. One drive must be used for every player in the group at least twice.
Par Three Shootout!
During regular play day events, MSG9 will host a Par 3 Shootout at each club, Monticello and Tara. Players have the option to participate or not. Each course will be customized to accommodate Par 3 Tees on every hole. Distances may range from 35 yards – 150 yards.

3-Clubs and a Putter:

Players will be allowed any three clubs of choice and a putter. They must navigate the 9-hole round with only these clubs. This game is optional—prizes are to be announced.
Lone Ranger:
Wednesday, March 19th @ Monticello
Friday, September 26th @ Tara
Lone Ranger is a putting contest where each player of a foursome rotates as the designated Lone Ranger. Count the number of putts for the Lone Ranger. The fewest number of putts in the foursome wins the day. All Lone Ranger Putts Must Hole Out! Prizes are to be announced.
Playday Perks
Score a Hole-In-One during a regular play day event and reap the reward! — $450 payout
Eagle’s Nest — $75 payout. Score a minus two (-2 gross) on any par 4 or par 5 hole and pocket the cash.
Playday perks do not apply to special events. Golfers must be playing from their designated league tees. Two witnesses are required to corroborate the event. Report to the PDC with a signed scorecard and a great story.
Social Events
Green Jacket Dinner 2025
May 7th, 2025 @ The River Grill
All league players are welcome to attend. The annual Green Jacket Presentation will take place after a dinner gathering including an awards ceremony, some games, and raffles. Dinner registrations are collected along with tournament fees at the time of event registration. Green Jacket Tournament Registration Begins on March 28th and ends on April 11th, 2025.
Picnic at the Pavilion 2025
Join us as we gather to celebrate the start of FALL, cooler temperatures, and the friendship and fellowship of our members during the annual Picnic at the Pavilion.
